When the discharge erosion concentration in the discharge gap reaches the critical value, a pull-out discharge will be generated between the workpiece and the tool electrode through the working fluid. The pull-out discharge will cause serious loss to both the cathode and the anode, and seriously reduce the surface quality of precision hardware processing parts. The size of the discharge erosion particle diameter mainly depends on the single pulse discharge energy, therefore, the single pulse discharge energy of EDM must be extremely small. Therefore, the scale of EDM will be small.
